We moved to Duluth in 2016. Duluth is mostly famous for being cold and snowy, and this reputation is justified. But it also has amazing trails for hiking, biking, and skiing; great music; diverse cultures; and a huge lake, Gichi Gamee (Lake Superior), to sail on and swim in.
In 2017 we bought our house, in a quiet neighborhood near the University of Minnesota Duluth. The house has three bedrooms, a walkout basement, and a back deck that looks out over a big backyard with trees and a fence. As soon as we moved in we cleaned out the chimney and installed a wood-burning stove, which has kept us warm through the winters ever since.
